Azure Backup can be used to restore data to a different server. In order to restore data to a different server, the server must be registered as an Azure backup vault.
To register a server as an Azure backup vault, open the Azure Backup console and click the “Add” button. In the “Add Backup Vault” dialog, select “On-premises” and enter the server name or IP address.
