If you have a Time Machine backup, you can copy it to another drive to free up space on your Mac’s startup drive.
1. Connect the other drive to your Mac.
2. Open Time Machine.
3. Click the Select Disk button.
4. Select the other drive and click Use for Backup.
5. Click the Time Machine button to start copying the backup.
When the backup is finished, you can disconnect the other drive.
